"Brushes" for the iPhone!

I've got the Brushes app on my iPhone and thought I'd post up some doodles. Its a crazy fun app and it sure helps with layovers, and boring meetings! :-)

Vapor Ape!

Trying to come up with a logo for my buddy's band and I really wanted to have a rocker Ape in the forefront! Here's a rough sketch of the direction I want to go!

EA Signs Publishing Deal with 38 Studios...

Just a few days ago at GDC, we announced our partnership with EA for a publishing deal for our RPG called Mercury. As someone who's seen Project: Mercury and has gotten a chance to play around with the recent builds, I gotta admit this thing is going to rock! Obviously I can't say much more about it right now, but trust me...it's gonna be sweet!

Check out the official press release here- http://www.38studios.com/news/show/113

Doodlin' on legal pads again...

I was sketchin' away again but this time it looks like I was channeling a lil' Clark Gable...which I admit is extremely odd, even for me! Nonetheless I was kinda happy with how its styling cues panned out. I mean look at that nose...it could cut right through somebody!

I was going for an elven sorcerer or warlock...

I don't know about the rest of you, but my memory retention is a million times better when I doodle while listening to someone speak. I mean no disrespect...its just how I roll. Well the only down side to this is that sometimes you may have some seriously good ideas but they end up on legal notepads like this guy! EEP!

Concepting a ZBrush character...

I sketched up this chica via tablet pc using Alias Sketchbook Pro. Thats right folks...Alias. As far as what I was going for?! I don't think I was aiming for anything in particular, although when I look at her sometimes I feel like I she may have a little Avatar in her? Maybe just a smidge? Either way, since I'm trying to learn ZBrush I wanted to concept something to focus on.

Uncle Beezer!

I created this guy to serve as the crotchety older uncle of my company's mascot Munch. His name is Uncle Beezer and he is the bane of Munch's existence...always reliable to cause nothing but trouble. Some say that Uncle Beezer exposed a non-wary Munch to Gamma Radiation when he was a child, hence the reason Munch goes Mean on everyone when he's angry...

We fly high, no lie, and you know this... BALLIN'!!!

I animated this walk cycle for a friend to test out how well the mesh deformed. I ofcourse being me, had to take it towards a slightly different direction... :-)

PlanetSide: Aftershock Reel

These are a few mount and dismount animations I did while an animator on PlanetSide. If you follow the link at the end of the video, you'll be taken to the game's homepage where you can see in-game footage of the work I did with textures and sound.

The Test...

This was the test waiting for me when I went to interview for SOE down in St Louis when they were creating PlanetSide. The Art Director asked me to get this armless dude into the rear gunner seat. I had 70 frames to work with so thats why he kinda gets cut off at the end. He originally started right outside the rear guns, but i decided for comedic value, he just HAD to start in the driver' seat. :-P

"Eye" see you...

I signed up for a monster painting workshop with Don Seegmiller and let me tell you...that was fun as hell. This was one of the earlier pieces I worked on so its still kinda rough in bits and pieces all over, but i still liked this guy enough to post him.

Careful...this one's sneaky!

I was bored one day and thought to redo the VS lite armor and create a lil animation for him sneaking around and what not. This was using Character Studio within 3D Studio Max.
